North Herts Speakers on 3 Counties Radio

This month our club was invited to come onto the Liz Flowers show at BBC 3 Counties Radio.
We were delighted to get a chance to talk about our club and all the benefits of Toastmasters.

Dorothy Molloy, our current President went to the Radio studio at Grove Park in Dunstable, Bedforshire on the 2nd of January 2026 to talk about our 10th anniversary since chartering on the 1st of October 2014.

She talked about the purpose of Toastmasters: to help people to gain skills and confidence in public speaking.
Toastmasters is a wonderful community resource, it gives members ample opportunity to practise speaking in public at every meeting.  The meetings are a safe space where our members can experiment and feel supported.  We’re all there for the same reason, to become a better speaker and we support each other in that ambition.

Members have the benefit of immediate feedback and encouragement.  We have fun and we learn new skills and get tips from other members.What’s more, we make new friends and help each other.
